Full House @ Ara Damansara

Full House @ Ara Damansara it's not only a great restaurant, it's nice place for photo shooting as well~ The surrounding shops are mostly unoccupied but that doesn't make Full House any less popular...

Most of the decoration and display items are up for sale (although not what exactly what I would call a budget shopping but some of the items would just perfectly fit that empty space in your house). You can't really see the place from the streets, it's in the middle of the enclosed street which in the past was planned for flea markets.

The whole place is based on white and romantic atmosphere, gives you that tingling feeling of first love~ Not a bad place for marriage proposal I would suggest
♥ (hehe...) Once we were there, we picked a seat upstairs where we can look down to the ground floor product display area. The waiter handed the menu and I got to say, it's the cutest menu I've ever seen so far! They even drawn a comic story of how Full House was created, how s weet is that~

The set Lunch meals are fairly affordable from the range about RM13.90 onwards... The Chicken Chop was topped with raisins and their homemade sauce, together with whipped potato. I realize that they had a thing for a piece of vege sticking out on top of the meal... Well... It's not doing anything to the taste but I guess credits are given on the looks of it though. Oh and the salad... Sweet! I mean literally when you eat it, it taste sweet. I've never seen my husband so happy with vege before~ Speaking of sweet, their deserts are must have too, gives you that "mmMMMmm" finishing to the meal. After a sweet and filling meal, stay for a while and enjoy the tea (free refile with every pot ordered, the staff seems to very proud of this service and kept asking if we want a refill...) They have plenty of variations on how you like your tea, as for me, I ordered a Jasmine one... I'm happy with the tea as the taste is just right but as for my husband, I think he is more fascinated by the tea pot itself :p

So, if you're on a date or just want to bring your girlfriend somewhere a little more out of the ordinary, note this place into your choices list. (If you want to make a special proposal, I bet the Full House would be happy to arrange it for you too~ Just my thought as the staffs are pretty nice and friendly~ no harm asking right :p )

Colmar Tropicale - A French Theme Resort

Colmar Tropicale or some known as Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, sitting on the same mountain as Genting Highlands. Although so, you will not see it on the way to Genting as it turns to the other side of the mountain. My first visit here was during my 2nd Anniversary in November 2009 with my husband. The weather there is just nice and cool for a stroll but not as cold as we thought. It was as if we're in a small town in France with the building surrounding (they are the resorts). Even the road are carefully designed to create the atmosphere. You will not find KFC or any usual restaurants here... Only few and all specialty fine restaurants are available. We got ourselves a single room suite for below RM250 (online early bird promotion helps save alot...)
Lunch was simple with Burgers and Chicken Quarter Meal. Mmm... With more or less RM30 per pax the meal was satisfying enough for taste and tummy (think Kenny Rogers... after all... it's owned by Berjaya Group :p)
Ah.. and here comes dinner - my favourite part of the whole trip. French Restaurant named La Cigogne. Definitely a personal recommendation! The set meals are about RM80 per pax but trust me, their lamb chop~ EXCELLENT! I'd never had such lamb chop, so rich in spices and levels of taste~! (*drip drip drip*) The portions are small but most satisfying. I couldn't say more but to have two thumbs up. Western meal will never be the same after having a taste on it... Not to mention their customer service is unbelievably good and the environment - just romantic~

Ok... navigating away from the yummy food and on to the attractions :p We went to the Japanese Garden as well as the Rabbit Farm, all F.O.C if you're a in-house guest, else everything has an entrance fee, including the resort premises. Ladies, you can rent a kimono for RM20 if you want to have a go with the Japanese feel for that moment (well... was more into fish feeding that time I didn't pay much attention to the kimono rental service) Dun take it as an adventure trip or else you will be very disappointed. Take it as a relaxing trip and you will find yourself enjoying the walks and nature.

Overall, it's a relaxing holiday get-a-way... A place where everything is slowed down with not much of crowd and not much of commercialized entertainments, just a pure and simple "village" that you can sit by the cafe and wonder your day off... if you are interested, you can check out their website http://www.berjayahotel.com/berjayahills/index.asp
